Synchronicity

High Tech Meditation

Recognitions Program

What is meditation?

For thousands of years, meditation has been used as a balancing tool for the body, mind and spirit. When we live in balance, we are relaxed and peaceful, yet highly alert and focused. Creativity and joy come naturally, even in the face of the stresses and demands of daily living. For many, however, the invaluable tool has remained unknown and unused. Most people who attempt meditation according to traditional formulas, find the cultural trappings and discipline unsuitable.

Over 25 years ago, an unprecedented development brought together modern science and the ancient art of meditation. Master Charles, an American master of meditation, pioneered sound technology to balance the brain hemispheres and deliver an authentic experience of precision meditation. This technology, known today as Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation, delivers accelerated results without rigorous discipline, long years of practice or the adoption of new beliefs or lifestyle changes. Now, anyone with a CD or cassette player can quickly and effortlessly experience precision meditation.

Meditation and the brain

Scientific research on the brain waves of meditators shows a pronounced shift in dominance away from the Beta frequencies of the busy mind (14-40 Hz.), towards Alpha (8-13 HZ.), Theta (3.5-7 HZ.), and Delta (.5-3.5 Hz.). In addition, hemispheric synchrony occurs, in which the two brain hemispheres exhibit very similar types of activity (graphs at left). Hemispheric brain synchrony is associated with heightened creativity, enhanced mind-body coordination, increased learning ability and much more.

Precision and efficiency distinguish Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation from other, more traditional “low-tech” systems. With Synchronicity technology, hemispheric synchrony and the deceleration of brain wave frequencies occur far more quickly. With classical techniques, these results tend to be random and sporadic, requiring years of practice to stabilize.

Technology and the art of meditation

A 1989 study researching the brain waves of forty Zen monk meditators is reported by Tomio Hirai, in the book, Zen Meditation and Psychotherapy. Since these individuals were totally immersed in the contemplative lifestyle, they represent the best results possible from a classical system of meditation. This study shows a consistent pattern of high Alpha production (10-12 Hz.) for the “novice practitioners” of five years or less; low Alpha production (7-9 Hz.) for moderately experienced practitioners of 10-20 years or less; and Theta production (5-8 Hz.) for highly experienced Zen meditators of 20-40 years.

By comparison, our extensive research shows that beginners in The Recognitions Program exhibit very similar patterns to the “novice” Zen meditators above. In Synchronicity High-Tech meditators of several years, the patterns are comparable to Zen practitioners of 10-20 years. The most advanced Synchronicity meditators, up to seven years of practice exhibit brain wave patterns comparable to the most experienced Zen practitioners of 20 years or more. These findings empirically validate Master Charles’ original hypothesis that Synchronicity technology yields at least a four-fold acceleration factor over traditional systems of meditation.

Recognitions

The Recognitions Program is Synchronicity’s premier, in-home daily meditation course, featuring precision Delta-level technology. In daily meditation with a CD or cassette player and headphones, Recognitions participants easily experience profound expansions of awareness comparable to or beyond those of very long-term traditional mediators. In addition to the daily meditation practice, the program includes telephone and e-mail facilitation as well as newsletters addressing FAQ’s and keeping you up to date on the latest programs and developments at our Virginia headquarters.

The program begins with Recognitions One, a one-month course including two Delta soundtracks for daily meditation as well as two introductory discourses by Master Charles, which give a detailed understanding of the practice. Progressively deeper levels of experience are available in Recognitions 2 – 8, each with a minimum of three months practice. In every subsequent level of The Recognitions Program, Synchronicity technology increase whole brain synchrony, accelerating the development of constancy in expanded and transcendental states of experience. In all, The Recognitions Program is the most comprehensive contemporary meditation experience available.
