Founders of the Dome Healing Center

Don and Cindy Murphy founded the Dome Healing Center. They have many years experience in a variety of Health related fields.

The Dome Healing Center was established to provide quality Holistic Therapies to all who need them. We have been providing these Therapies since 1984. Holistic Healing is our MISSION, not our BUSINESS! We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to offer our friends and clients the knowledge, skills and experience that we have gained from the years that we have dedicated ourselves to this mission.

Our Background and Experience

Both Don and Cindy Murphy are Licensed Massage Therapists by the State of Florida and on the National level. Both have taken years of advanced training in Upledger Craniosacral Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Reiki Therapeutic Healing Touch, and Holistic Health Counseling.

Don has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (1975 Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA) , ), Reiki Master Level Certification, Yoga Teachers Certification (Sivananda Hatha and Raja Yoga Styles), and is a Certified Synchronicity Meditation Instructor (Master Charles/ Synchronicity Foundation,/ Nellysford, VA). Don is a Licensed Captain (Master, Any Oceans) in the US Merchant Marine and spent 17 years at Sea with many years as Captain.

Cindy has an extensive background in Health and exercise. She has taught many years of Aerobic classes, is a Certified Aerobics Instructor and is a Certified Natural Health Counselor.

Both Don and Cindy were born and raised in North and Central New Jersey. They have lived in and experienced many places before settling on Amelia Island, Florida (in 1988) including Dallas and Galveston, Texas, Mexico (two years), New Orleans (eight years), Miami (two weeks!!), and Boston MA to name a few.

Awards

In 2001, Don was awarded the Nassau County Big Brother of the Year Award for his work with the Big Brother Big Sister Program.

In 2000, both Don and Cindy received the Florida State Massage Therapy Association’s Outstanding Chapter Service Award from the North Florida Chapter for their work in Massage Therapy.
